Notifications on Android are an awesome way to get informed about various activities going on with your friends, business and even with the world.
Some notifications may be important, some may just be interrupting and most people tend to dismiss notifications like sale announcements or reminders just for the time being.
After some time, when we are free we may again want to view those notifications that we have dismissed earlier.
It may be some playlist suggestion from our favorite music app, a traffic alert from our maps app or even a backup reminder for our photos.
But unfortunately you cannot see them again as you have cleared them and ignored them when they were there for you.
But fortunately these notifications are not your girlfriend, and you can actually get them back.
Not only the recent ones you have dismissed but you can also see the entire log of your notifications for the past few hours!
The best things about this trick are that it is extremely simple, easily accessible and best of all it does not require you to download or install any app from the play store.
So if you were worrying about this being a paid or a sponsored article asking you to download some app from the Google Play store which has a lot of ads and is constantly running in the background depleting your battery.
Well, you can stop worrying because this is a built in feature that comes with Android.
So it does not matter whether you are in a stock or a skinned version of Android, you can still make use of this awesome feature!

Here’s how!

Step 1:

Make sure you are on the home screen of your launcher and then long-press on an empty space.

Step 2:

You will get a pop-up screen with 3 options. Select the Widgets option from that.

Step 3:

Now you will be presented with a new screen which has a list of all widgets available for the apps installed on your phone.
Scroll down until you find the settings shortcut widget.

Step 4:

Long press the widget and you will be taken to your home screen.
Just place the widget wherever you have free space or wherever you find it easy to access.
You can also place this inside your folders or your app drawer if you want.

Step 5:

Once you have placed the widget on your favorite place, just click on it.
You will now be presented with a new screen similar to a menu.
It is nothing but the list of options you can access with this settings shortcut widget.

Step 6:

Ignore other options and scroll down to find the “Notification” or the “Notification Log” option and then select it.

Step 7:

That’s all, you can now view all of your cleared notifications in a single place.
You can also select individual notifications from the log and then can view what was the notification message along with the time it was sent and the privacy and settings of the app from which the notification was sent.
Simple and cool right?
So now you don’t have to worry about unknowingly dismissed or sometimes intentionally dismissed notifications in your Android phone!
