Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime, the most popular mid range device from Samsung was launched last year with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. As promised, the device is now officially receiving the Android Nougat 7.0 update from Samsung.
The official update is now rolling out in the form of OTA to the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime users in India with firmware version G610FDDU1BQH9.
If you have not received the update notification yet, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings->About Phone->Software Update.
If the update is still not available, you have to wait for a few more days till it hits your Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime comes with a massive 3300mAh battery with a metal body and a 5.5-inch 2.5D glass display.
Samsung has also introduced a new feature to the device called the bike mode, which will automatically send messages to people to call back when you are driving.
What’s New In the Nougat 7.0 Update For Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime
The Android Nougat Update approximately weighs around 1143MB and comes with some interesting features like Multi window mode, dual messenger, and improved doze.
The update also brings with it the latest security patch update along with an improved user interface and a new quick settings button.
With the latest Android Nougat 7.0 update, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is expected to witness an overall improvement in the performance and the stability of the system.
Also, with the enhanced doze mode in Nougat, your phone will place unused apps running in the background in the hibernation mode, so that your battery will be saved even when you are using your phone.

Make sure to take a full backup of your device and ensure that you have atleast 50% of charge remaining before you install the update.
