Samsung Galaxy Android Oreo update might probably be one of the most expected software update of the year. Samsung has released a long list of devices this year and most of them were recently launched with Android Nougat 7.0 built in.
So, there is a huge chance that some of these most recently released devices might be upgraded to the latest version of Android Oreo 8.0. This is because, traditionally, Samsung would send out atleast one major software update to its devices and since it launched a lot of devices this year, it could be expected that these might receive the Oreo update.
Android Oreo 8.0 is the latest and the sweetest version of Android released by Google last month. It is said to be the safest version of Android yet and it is currently available only for the Google Pixel and the Nexus devices.
Since most smartphone manufacturers use a custom skin based on the latest version of Android on their devices, it would take some time for them to modify the source code of Android to go with their exclusive skin.

Which is probably why Samsung, which uses an exclusive custom skin called Experience UI or Touchwiz OS on most of its phones, generally delay the roll out of the latest software update to its Galaxy devices.
However, based on the previous update record of Samsung and the date of launch of the devices, it is expected that the below list of devices would be updated to the latest version of Android Oreo 8.0, probably by the end of this year or the beginning of the next.
