It’s been a while since Google released the update for the Google keyboard for android, labeled as GBoard after spending some time with iOS. And I have to say that besides the not so useful search feature that has been built-in and the annoying extra row for the Google icon, nothing much was impressive about the new update to the old keyboard from Google.

Yes, you may ask that the GIF feature is awesome but sadly Google has not yet implemented it with the android version of the keyboard and it only works with the default messenger of android, which only 2 people uses. But, to hell with google, because with the new beta update of the most popular messaging platform Whatsapp, now the much awaited and an awesome feature of sending GIFs right from the app has arrived.

So, gone are the days when you have to spend most of your time online searching for the perfect GIF to mock your friend or simply to send one when you don’t feel like typing. With the new update added to the Whatsapp version 2.17.6,  you can now send GIFs with much ease right from the app near the emoji tab.

With this update, you can also search for your favorite GIF or just scroll through the huge collection of GIFs that are available from Giphy and instantly share them with your contacts and also you can download and save it in your gallery for future use.
